United Appeal for Athens County helps people meet their basic needs. Donors' gifts provide much needed financial assistance to health and human service programs throughout the county. United Appeal also provides 211 Athens County, a free service for anyone to Get Help and Give Help.

United Appeal for Athens County serves as the administrator for the federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program Local Board, a Department of Homeland Security program that in 2013 supplied $27,500 to Good Works, My Sister's Place, and Southeast Ohio Food Bank.

United Appeal raises funds for Local Partner Agencies and disburses the funds annually.

Local community members serve as unpaid volunteers on United Appeal's Board of Directors. We thank them for their commitment to raising funds and awareness to help people in Athens County.
